MODEL X® series: the innovation in high-precision working models

With the models of the MODEL X® series, interested customers now have access to a revolutionary and highly innovative manufacturing process, which, in addition to a significantly increased delivery speed, also sets sustainable accents.

Darmstadt, 1 April 2021. INFINIDENT Solutions, the industry- and laboratory-independent CAD/CAM service partner for dental practices and laboratories in Europe, is expanding its range of 3D-printed dental models.

The product family, marketed under the MODEL X® brand, will initially start with an offer for orthodontic models and will be successively expanded by further variants. A special feature of MODEL X® is a revolutionary process - developed and validated together with our material partners - in which the model data sent by the customer are first produced in a significantly reduced dimension using the SLA/DLP process. This allows a significant reduction in construction time and material usage, while at the same time maintaining the qualitative specifications. As a result, the products of the MODEL X® series can always be sent back to the customer on the day of the order (order received by 12.00 noon), which makes the use of in-house printing solutions in the dental laboratory practically superfluous in the future.

The process
The model is ordered by the dental laboratory as usual via the ordering platform at infinidentsolutions.com. Using the specially developed HS production process, the models are printed at a ratio of 1:4 on industrial SLA/DLP printers and sent to the dental laboratory on the same day. After receipt of the models in the dental laboratory, they first have to be expanded to the original size by adding distilled water and Model X® Liquid (X® = expansion), which is also available. After a reaction time of only about 45 minutes, the models are completely enlarged and thus fully ready for use. At the start - due to the still early stage of development (patent procedure initiated) - only the MODEL X® ORTHO model is available as a socketed or unsocketed version. Other model variants will follow in the course of the year.

"We are more than happy to be able to offer our customers another groundbreaking product innovation with MODEL X® after a development and testing phase of about three years. For us, not only the process itself represents a quantum leap in the production of digital working models, but also the prospect of being able to make a positive contribution to sustainability due to the significant savings in material, packaging and shipping weight. As one of the pioneers of dental 3D printing, we are all the more pleased about this consistent expansion of the model portfolio". comments managing partner Thomas Hack on the expansion.

The advantages at a glance
+ Highest precision thanks to 3D printing processes on industrial equipment (SLA-/DLP)
+ Super-fast delivery thanks to "Same Day Shipping"
+ Ready for use as usual after around 45 minutes
+ Further processing like conventional 3D printed models

MODEL X® ORTHO as well as the MODEL X® Liquid can be ordered via the webshop from 1 April 2021.
