INFINIDENT now with Ultaire® AKP by Solvay as a metal-free alternative for removable partial dentures

As one of the pioneers in laser sintering processes, INFINIDENT has been successfully offering manufactured CAD partial dentures since 2015. With Ultaire® AKP, INFINIDENT has now expanded its range of removable dentures with an innovative material.

Darmstadt, 17 December 2019. INFINIDENT Solutions, the main CAD/CAM service partner unaffiliated to industry or laboratories for practice and dental laboratories in Europe is now offering Ultaire® AKP by Solvay as a metal-free alternative for removable partial dentures.

Ultaire® AKP, an innovative high-performance polymer, which has been formulated specially for dental applications, bridges the gap between removable partial dentures (RPD) made of metal and those manufactured using polymers that only meet minimum requirements. Clinical data and the specific material values attest to the Ultaire® AKP and its exceptional suitability.

Removable partial dentures (RPD) replace missing teeth. The frames used are generally made of metal. Solvay's new high-performance material Ultaire® based on aryl ketone polymer (AKP) allow the manufacture of non-metallic, biocompatible, natural-looking RPD frames which are more pleasant to wear and more than 60 percent lighter than metal frames.

Design work is done using 3Shape or exocad CAD software. The laboratory requires special training and approval from Solvay Dental 360®. INFINIDENT is a certified design and manufacturing partner of Solvay Dental 360®. Ultaire® AKP is currently available in white and beige.
